PAUL GOES TO ROME

Jerusalem served as the final stop of Paul’s third missionary journey. There, he was taken into custody and locked up in a prison. Jesus appeared to him in a vision in the middle of the night and told him, “You will go to Rome and preach there.”
Paul was arrested in Caesarea after being transferred there from Jerusalem after serving his sentence there for two years. When Paul was being tried by Governor Festus, he made the following statement: “Let me be judged by Caesar, in Rome.”
Festus responded by saying, “You haPAUL GOESve appealed to Caesar, and you will go to Caesar.” Paul was placed on a ship that was headed for Rome, and two Christian brothers named Luke and Aristarchus accompanied him on the journey.
They were out at sea when they became caught in a strong storm that lasted for many days. Everyone was terrified that they were going to lose their lives. On the other hand, Paul declared, “Men, an angel appeared to me in a dream and said, “Don’t be scared, Paul. You will arrive in Rome, and there will be no harm to anyone else on the ship while you are there.” Have some bravery! We will not die.’
The storm lasted for a total of fourteen days. After long last, land materialized. The place in question was the island of Malta. The ship ran aground and smashed into pieces, but all 276 passengers and crew members were able to swim to shore and reach safety. Some of the passengers were able to swim to shore, while others floated to safety by holding onto fragments of the ship. They were taken care of by the people of Malta, who also made a fire to keep them warm.
After another three months had passed, the troops transferred Paul to another ship and brought him to Rome. The brothers were there to welcome him when he finally arrived. Paul thanked God upon witnessing them and gained courage as a result. Even though Paul was incarcerated, he was granted permission to live in a house that was rented on his behalf and was watched over by a guard.
Paul did not leave for a period of two years. Others came to see him, and while they were there, he taught them about Jesus and spoke to them about the kingdom of God. In addition, Paul wrote letters to the congregations that were located in Judea and Asia Minor. Paul was a vessel through which God actually disseminated the gospel to people all over the world.
