JOHN IS SHOWN THE FUTURE

Once upon a time, on a small Greek island named Patmos, there lived a man named John. John was a devout Christian who had been exiled to Patmos by the Roman Empire for his beliefs.
One day, while John was praying in a cave on the island, he had a vision of a man standing before him. The man was radiant and shining like the sun, and he held seven stars in his right hand. In his left hand, he held a sharp two-edged sword.
The man spoke to John and revealed himself as Jesus Christ, the Son of God. He instructed John to write down everything he saw and heard in a book, which would become known as the Book of Revelation.
In the vision, John saw many strange and terrifying things. He saw seven golden lampstands and heard a voice that sounded like a trumpet. He saw a woman clothed in the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head. He saw a great dragon, with seven heads and ten horns, who fought against Michael and his angels.
John also saw the four horsemen of the apocalypse: a white horse with a rider holding a bow, a red horse with a rider holding a sword, a black horse with a rider holding a pair of scales, and a pale horse with a rider named Death.
In the vision, John saw a great battle between good and evil, between the forces of God and the forces of Satan. He saw the final judgment, where the dead were judged according to their deeds and the righteous were granted eternal life.
John saw a new heaven and a new earth, where there was no more pain, suffering, or death. He saw the holy city of Jerusalem, with its streets of gold and gates of pearls. He saw the throne of God and the Lamb, where they reign forever and ever.
At the end of the vision, Jesus spoke to John again and said, “Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense with me, to repay each one for what he has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.”
And so, John wrote down everything he had seen and heard in the Book of Revelation, a powerful and prophetic account of the end times and the ultimate triumph of God over evil.
